What this test checks
Inbox providers like Gmail and Outlook look at your domain before they look at your email. SPF says which servers may send for you, DKIM signs your mail so it can’t be forged, and DMARC tells receivers what to do when either fails.
We also check that your domain can receive replies (MX records) and that it isn’t on the domain blocklists spam filters use. Since 2024, Google and Yahoo require SPF, DKIM and DMARC from anyone sending in volume.

Add your DKIM selector if you know it. We try the common ones, but your provider may use its own.

Fix anything flagged. Each problem comes with the change to make. Run the test again once it’s done.
Questions about email deliverability
Does this send a test email?
No. It reads your domain’s public DNS records and checks blocklists, so nothing is sent and nothing is stored. To see where a real email lands, run an inbox placement test.
Why can’t you find my DKIM record?
A DKIM key is published under a name called a selector, and your email provider picks it. We check the most common ones (google, selector1, selector2, k1, s1 and more). If yours is different, click "Add a DKIM selector" and enter it. Google Workspace shows it under Apps › Google Workspace › Gmail › Authenticate email.
Is p=none good enough for DMARC?
It meets Google and Yahoo’s sender rules, and it’s the right place to start. Once your DMARC reports show your own mail passes SPF or DKIM, move to p=quarantine.
My DNS records pass. Why is my mail still going to spam?
DNS is only the starting point. New inboxes need warmup, sending volume should ramp up slowly, and the copy itself matters. Check your copy with the spam word checker, and keep bounce rates low by verifying your list.
How long do DNS changes take to show up?
Usually a few minutes, sometimes up to 48 hours. Results here are cached for two minutes, so wait a moment before testing again.
